Most of us have lovely pets and we adore and love them very much. Ironically, they don’t live up to the life expectancy we have. With great sorrow and grievances, we have to say good buy to them at some point in our lives.
Richard Saunders who is 75 now, has lost his pet cat Tolly five years ago and it was a thing he couldn’t bear with himself. He felt the loneliness for years as the company he had with the cat was a special one.
What is fascinating about Richard Saunders is that he has been able to use his love for the cat to make himself equipped with creativity to architect something unique that nobody has ever thought of. After all, he is a talented artist and he practiced with Photoshop since it was introduced to the world some twenty years back. He used to get some of the bush photos and converted them to lovely cat sculptures with the help of Photoshop. The Topiary Cat, what he calls his project has become a successful franchise. He didn’t stop there and ventured into puzzles, customized art and even he wrote a book about Tolly, the lovely cat. The Tolly is always remembered in every step he has taken.
This resemblance with the quality of his life and the true love he shared with his little friend. Every pet lover is a lovable man or a woman but Richard is a special one.
We thought of sharing some of his great works with you. Make sure to visit his website www.thetopiarycat.co.uk and find what’s new. Share your thoughts on this great project.
